GAME 1: USA vs Puerto Rico

FINALLY it is game day!  Thanks to BJ Johnson, USA Team Leader we are given a schedule for each day giving everyone the when and where of the day.  Here's our schedule for today:  9:00 breakfast, 12:00 pre-game meal, 12:30 uniform pick up (we'll be in white for this game), 2:00 team meeting, 2:30 depart for the game, 4:00 GAME, 7:00 opening ceremonies, 8:00 dinner at the hotel.

GAME time is 4:00 local Argentina time therefore 3 pm ET, 2 pm CT (IOWA time for our family and friends back home).

You can watch the game via live streaming at www.FIBAAmericas.com

We appreciate the support of the USA team families.   Jordan, Wendell and Markus' parents have been in Argentina for a day or two.  Tre's mom and aunt just came in this morning due to the transportation strike that held them up in Buenos Aires an extra day.  Connor's parents are to arrive before today's game as they were stuck in Chile due to the strike.
USA support is here!
Tre, Markus and Wendell represented here.

Finally....it's game time! Team USA has practiced and practiced and practiced and NOW it's time to show what we have. The coaches and players each signed a document (National Team Gold Standards) before leaving the OTC in Colorado.   Number 15 is PRIDE - We are the best team in the world and we represent the best country.
